NEON has kicked off another typically creepy and cryptic marketing campaign with four new Shelby Oaks posters teasing a full trailer for the Mike Flanagan– produced documentary-found footage horror coming on Monday.
Directed by prolific YouTuber and critic Chris Stuckmann after a $1.39 million Kickstarter campaign, Shelby Oaks is set to be released in the United States on October 3, following recent reshoots to include “more gore and violence” (yay!)
Starring Camille Sullivan (Hunter Hunter), Brendan Sexton III (Donโt Breathe 2) and Sarah Durn (Where the Crawdads Sing), Shelby Oaks follows Mia (Sullivan) as she frantically searches for her sister Riley (Durn), who ominously disappeared in the last tape of her investigative series, โParanormal Paranoidsโ. As Mia uncovers new and disturbing leads related to Rileyโs disappearance, she uncovers evidence of a hidden supernatural evil dating all the way back to her and Rileyโs childhood.
Producers are Stuckmann, Aaron B. Koontz, Ashleigh Snead, and Cameron Burns for Paper Street Pictures, and joining Flanagan in executive producer roles are Trevor Macy and Melinda Nishioka for Intrepid Pictures, alongside Adam F. Goldberg, Paul Holbrook, Sean E. DeMott and Tony Killough.
Following a successful festival run last year at both Fantastia and London's FrightFest, Shelby Oaks was re-edited earlier this year by Brett W. Bachman (Mandy, Pig, Color Out of Space).
Check out the new posters for Shelby Oaks below and keep your eyes peeled for that trailer on Monday…
