The Sven Squad are gearing up to bring chills to your summer, as House of Svengoolie presents the MeTV/Svengoolie debut of 1999’s found-footage classic The Blair Witch Project, this Saturday, May 17 at 10:30PM ET/PT.
For the uninitiated, House of Svengoolie is The Sven Squad’s takeover of Svengoolie’s legendary dungeon, featuring a new set of hosts including Sarah Palmer as the gorgeous ghoul Gwengoolie, Scott Gryder as the devilishly ingratiating IMP (Ignatius Malvolio Prankerstein) and Bill Leff as the 800-year-old vampire Nostalgiaferatoo, not to mention the man himself, of course, Svengoolie aka Rich Koz, who has 45 years of portraying the iconic horror host under his hat.
And on the very off-chance you've never seen The Blair Witch Project, the Sven Squad's presentation of it is the perfect time to fix that. Written, directed, and edited by Daniel Myrick and Eduardo Sánchez, the terrifying horror remains of the most successful independent films of all time, influencing everything from Paranormal Activity to REC. This presentation will be a Blair Witch Project debut for Svengoolie and MeTV.
