If firecrackers and burning to a crisp in the sun isnโt quite your style, Heroes & Icons Network has a better idea for your Fourth of July celebrations. The network announced that their annual marathon of The Twilight Zone will be returning for the holiday weekend, spreading nearly two hundred episodes out over three days for the third year in a row.
Having made its way over from the DECADES network, the marathon โ aptly titled Rod, White & Blue: A Twilight Zone Celebration โ begins on July 3 at 6 a.m. ET, and continues through July 7 at 6 a.m. ET. Fans will be able to watch all of their favorites, from โEye of the Beholderโ all the way to โThe Monsters Are Due on Maple Streetโ and beyond, leaving behind the heat and haze of traditional holiday parties for Rod Serlingโs twisted sci-fi world.
The Twilight Zone originally premiered in 1959 on CBS and ran for five seasons, forever changing the course of television forever. The series, which sparked controversy as well as embedding itself into pop culture history forever, earned creator Rod Serling two Emmy Awards over the course of its run, as well as a Golden Globe.
But, if youโve already seen every episode and want something more, it was announced last year that Serling himself will be the subject of a new documentary, exploring both his work on television as well as his off-camera activism. Featuring archival footage of the writer and creator, the untitled film is produced by Hollywood A-lister Leonardo DiCaprio, as well as Serlingโs daughters Jodi and Anne Serling.
Heroes & Iconsโ Twilight Zone marathon begins on July 3, and the entire series is also available to stream on Pluto TV and Paramount+.
