As well as catching the “jaw-dropping” first ten minutes of footage at San Diego Comic-Con's It: Welcome to Derry panel over the weekend, attendees were treated to a brand new teaser for HBO's upcoming It prequel series which confirms an October release date window.

The Stephen King adaptation sees Bill Skarsgรฅrd return to his role as the terrifying Pennywise the Clown, starring alongside Taylour Paige (Zola, Ma Rainey's Black Bottom), Jovan Adepo (Babylon, Watchmen), James Remar (Creepshow, Oppenheimer), Madeleine Stowe (Revenge) and Chris Chalk (Perry Mason, Godzilla vs. Kong) who'll be playing the character of Dick Hallorann, a name you might recognize as having a big part in another King horror classic The Shining

Also starring are Alixandra Fuchs (Boogeyman Pop), Kimberly Guerrero (Reservation Dogs), Dorian Grey (Star Trek: Discovery), Thomas Mitchell (Spiral: From the Book of Saw), BJ Harrison (Rise of the Planet of the Apes), Peter Outerbridge (Saw VI), Shane Marriott (Fargo), Chad Rook (Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City), Joshua Odjick (The Long Walk), Rudy Mancuso (The Flash), and Morningstar Angeline (Echo).

Directed and lead by It‘s Andy Muschietti and Barbara Muschietti, with Jason Fuchs (Ice Age: Continental Drift) and Brad Caleb Kane (A24's upcoming Friday the 13th prequel series Crystal Lake) serving as showrunners, It: Welcome to Derry is based on the novel's interludes from protagonist Mike Hanlon, and kicks off in 1962 as a lead-up to the events of the 2017 film It: Chapter One. If all goes to plan, Welcome to Derry could potentially end up being a three season show, with a second season potentially set in 1935, and a third in 1908.

It: Welcome to Derry will debut on HBO and will be available to stream on HBO Max in October. Check out the new teaser below:
