The 2025 FANGORIA Chainsaw Awards nominees have been announced, now what? If you’re looking for more information on how to vote and what happens next, you’ve come to the right place.
First, a little bit on how the nominees are chosen. The FANGORIA Chainsaw Awards nominating body is made up of over 150 industry professionals. These anonymous filmmakers, journalists, creators, and personalities selected the best in horror released between July 2024 and June 2025. FANGORIA Editorial staff then weighed in on two categories this year to break ties for nomination slots. That means the nominees were voted on by the horror community, and the winners will also be chosen by the horror community. Now the final list of nominees is in your hands! The polls are open to all, you have until July 20 to make your voice heard. Make some noise on social media and spread the word.
Chainsaw Awards voters used to have to physically mail their handwritten ballots to Fango headquarters in New York City. We’re going easy on you in 2025, all you have to do is head to the official FANGORIA Chainsaw Awards voting page on our website and make your selections. Simple! Or is it? There can only be one winner, and these categories are stacked. Choosing the best in a category filled with incredible work is no easy feat, you’ve got your work cut out for you. You can only vote once, so make sure you make it count.

The Chainsaw Awards polls are now open through July 20, so be sure to get your vote in before the deadline! There are inevitably going to be some close calls, and the winners could very likely be determined by just a handful of votes. We cannot stress enough how important every single vote is.
