Following a successful festival run across Sitges, FrightFest and more last year, Traumatika, the sophomore feature from Pierre Tsigaridis (Two Witches), hits theaters on September 12, with today bringing a tease for a trailer that is apparently too intense to show in full. Gulp.

Starring Rebekah Kennedy (Two Witches), Ranen Navat (Into the Box), Sean Oโ€™Bryan (The Veil), Susan Gayle Watts (To Hell and Gone), Emily Goss (The House on Pine Street), AJ Bowen (The Sacrament) and Sean Whalen (The People Under the Stairs), in Traumatika

A young boyโ€™s night terrors become reality when his mother begins showing signs of demonic possession. What heโ€™s about to experience will haunt him for the rest of his life and claim countless lives across generations.

The new trailer drop follows Saban Films' “5 Days of Trauma” poster rollout last week, giving us a glimpse into the demonic nightmares lurking within Traumatika.

While the ol' “too shocking to show” marketing technique often works wonder, it's also a risk if your film doesn't live up to the disturbing claims. However, reviews for Traumatika are calling the pic โ€œnightmarishโ€, โ€œunsettlingโ€ and โ€œtruly horrificโ€, so maybe this time the hype is justified. Check out the new teaser for yourself below:
