Sinners (2025) - Warner Bros.

Last Updated on July 7, 2025 by Dolores Quintana

You will definitely be pleased with the many films available among the Best Horror Movies Streaming in July. Without further delay, we have to mention that the horror cultural phenomenon of 2025, Ryan Coogler's Sinners, comes to streaming on the July 4 weekend. If by some chance you missed it in March and throughout its triumphant run, especially in IMAX theatres, now is your chance. If you loved it, there's no better time to gather your loved ones, some homemade popcorn, and enjoy it once again.

Arrow's selections are fantastic, even for the hottest month of the year, especially since one of them is Italian maestro Lucio Fulci's absolutely bananapants Italian “sequel” to Dawn of the Dead in 4K. This masterpiece not only has the brutal eye scene, * shivers*, but it also has one of the most infamous scenes in horror in which a zombie fights a shark. You read that correctly, a hungry zombie goes hand to fin with the scariest animal in the ocean. Jaws has nothing on this.

HBO Max has the aforementioned film Sinners, along with another new release, the overlooked Opuswhich is your opportunity to watch John Malkovich as a reclusive rock star, along with his hilarious gyrations, who may be the leader of a cult. Hulu is bringing Prometheus and the patriotic Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter to the table while Paramount+ weighs in with the premiere of  Dexter: Resurrection, the newest series in the Dexter franchise, and Congo, which has a great Bruce Campbell cameo.

Peacock is also bringing new blood to July with a new series about the undead, Revival,  Twisted Metal – Season Two, and the streaming premiere of Christopher Landon's Drop. Prime is going retro with such chillers as David Lynch's Blue Velvet and Tobe Hooper's The Funhouse.

Last but not least, Screambox has a great roster with such highlights as South Korea's acclaimed fright fest The Wailing, William Lustig's classic ode to New York slasher sleaze, Maniac, and the patriotic yet gruesome Uncle Sam.

โ€œGrowing up an '80s slasher kid, I was a huge fan of the studio franchises – but as I dug deeper into the genre, I was over the moon with the litany of fantastic titles that had snuck past me. Slasher cinema is more varied than almost any other sub-genre of horror, and picking out something that fits one's mood is amazingly easy, given the wild variety out there. Below are lesser-known slasher favorites of mine, each with their own particular vibe, specific sleaze, and buckets of that silly, over-the-top violence that fans of the genre have come to expect and love.” Titles Include:ย Terminal Exposure, The Coming of Sin, Dark August

What's more, everyone who eats The Stuff has started acting really weird. Now, teaming up with wise-cracking industrial saboteur Mo, Jason must put a stop to The Stuff and the organization behind it or face a gooey, gloopy demise.

    July 28:

After over 45 years, this zombie classic still has the power to shock and offend the unwilling.
