Radio Silence's Ready or Not sequel, now officially titled Ready or Not: Here I Come, has lined up a killer cast, with Sarah Michelle Gellar, Elijah Wood, Kevin Durand and body horror master David Cronenberg (yes, that David Cronenberg) joining confirmed stars Samara Weaving and Kathryn Newton.
Shawn Hatosy (The Pitt) and Nรฉstor Carbonell (Shลgun) are also set to star, with writers Guy Busick and R. Christopher Murphy returning for the “fucking banger” of a script.
Starring Weaving, Adam Brody, Mark O'Brien and Andie McDowell, Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett's 2019 horror comedy grossed $28 million at the global box office, and followed a young bride (Weaving) joining her new husband's (O'Brien) very wealthy, eccentric family. She is then asked to take place in a time-honored family tradition that quickly turns into a lethal game of kill or be killed.
Plot details for the follow-up are still under wraps, as are character details.
Bettinelli-Olpin and Gillett expressed their excitement for the pic, which has officially started production, saying:
โWeโre thrilled to be returning to the world of Ready or Not with Samara, Brett, Avery and Andrew […] and so excited to work with this immensely talented cast and the incredible artists across every department joining the Ready or Not family.โ
Behind the scenes, Searchlight VP Production Richard Ruiz and Creative Executive Cornelia Burleigh are covering the project for the studio. They report to Production and Development co-heads DanTram Nguyen and Katie Goodson-Thomas.
