Marvel's Blade reboot might be up in the air, but that doesn't stop the OG Blade and Blade II from getting a new lease of life, as Varรจse Sarabande and Craft Recordings have announced deluxe reissues for both scores of the vampire superhero horrors from prolific composers Mark Isham and Marco Beltrami.

Debuting on vinyl for the first time, the Blade and Blade II scores will be released in multiple unique color variants, and both will be available as 2-LP gatefold packages with brand-new artwork by acclaimed illustrator Micha Huigen (scroll down for more on these, because they're truly epic.)

Releasing on May 16, the Blade and Blade II scores will be pressed on โ€œBloodbathโ€ red vinyl exclusively via Barnes & Noble, and โ€œBlood Splatterโ€ clear and black translucent vinyl in a limited-edition run of 500 on the Varรจse Sarabande store.

Released in 1998, Stephen Norrington's Blade introduced the world to Wesley Snipes as the titular half-vamp superhero, with Guillermo del Toro taking directorial reigns for the sequel, Blade II, in 2002. Both scores have unique musical references, with Blade including Snipes' hip-hop connection and Blade II making use of Asian instruments such as taiko drums and Tibetan throat singing.
