Two of pop culture's most iconic pig-tailed girlies come together for a deliciously dreary collaboration in the new Wednesday Meal of Misfortune at Wendy's.
Lining up with the announcement of a third season renewal of the Tim Burton-produced Netflix hit series and the second season premiere on August 6, Wendy's limited-time Meal of Misfortune hits restaurants and the Wendy's app across the U.S. on August 4, with Canadian diners able to chow down from August 11.
The Meal of Misfortune includes the Rest in 10-Piece Nuggets, small Cursed & Crispy Fries, with two aptly-named Dips of Dread mystery sauces in each meal. The four potential sauces are titled You Can't Hyde, This Will Sting, Grave Mistake and Nowhere to Woe, but don't bother asking which sauce you'll get – those brave enough to try them all must endure multiple visits.
Those with a sweeter tooth will enjoy the dark cherry-flavored Raven's Blood Frosty that comes complete with a “Spoon of Gloom” and Wednesday-themed Frosty cups (seen below, and only at participating locations while supplies last, duh).
In addition to the Meal of Misfortune, U.S. fans have a chance to win $10,000 by helping Wendy dodge the perils of normalcy with an interactive game experience, “Escape from Wednesday's Woe.”
Per a statement from Miss Addams herself:
“Normally I'd be against this kind of capitalistic corporate synergy […] But when the fast-food-slinging pigtailed provocateur said I could do whatever I wanted to her customers, I couldn't resist.”
