bride of frankenstein collection

Vixen by Micheline Pitt is changing the game when it comes to dressing like your favorite horror movie characters. The female-owned fashion brand just dropped their Bride of Frankenstein collection, a new capsule fashion line that celebrates ninety years of Elsa Lanchesterโ€™s queen of the monsters.

Following up on their Creature from the Black Lagoon collection last summer, the new Bride of Frankenstein collection features gorgeous items only a mad scientist (or fashion designer) could dream of, including vintage souvenir-style knit tops featuring both Frankensteinโ€™s Monster and The Bride drawn by Pitt, a crossbody bag of the Monsterโ€™s head, vintage movie poster sweatshirts and totes, and replica-inspired bandage wiggle and swing dresses, designed as a modern tribute to the brideโ€™s costume, as well as a matching bolero jacket.

“Few characters in horror history are as visually iconic, or emotionally complex as Frankenstein's Monster and his Bride,” said Micheline Pitt, CEO and Designer of Vixen “As a lifelong Universal Monsters fan, it was an absolute dream to reimagine these legends through a modern, feminine lens while honoring the legacy of their unforgettable designs. Weโ€™re committed to making high-quality pieces that can be worn and loved for years. This isnโ€™t fast fashionโ€”itโ€™s collectible couture for horror fans who want to wear their love of cinema on their sleeve.โ€

This isnโ€™t the first time Vixen has created products for an iconic film either. Theyโ€™ve also partnered with brands like The Jim Henson Company to create replicas of Jennifer Connellyโ€™s iconic costumes from Labyrinth (of which this author owns multiple, and can vouch for), as well as their Creature from the Black Lagoon collection, which featured similar movie poster sweatshirts, dresses, and a molded crossbody bag of the Creatureโ€™s head, originally designed by Milicent Patrick.

All the products in Vixenโ€™s Bride of Frankenstein collection are available in limited runs only, designed with slow fashion values in mind. The clothing items are all available in sizes extra small through 4X, and are available now on their website.
