Fresh off yesterday's exciting news that Alien: Isolation finally has a sequel in development, Hollywood Records has announced the digital release of the iconic sci-fi survival game's soundtrack, with a vinyl and cassette release to follow from iam8bit.
Composed by The Flight (aka Joe Henson and Alexis Smith) and Christian Henson, the Alien: Isolation soundtrack features 20 tracks from the Creative Assembly game, that celebrates its 10th anniversary this year.
The game, considered one of the scariest horror games of all time, is set 15 years after Ridley Scott's sci-fi classic original movie Alien, and follows Ellen Ripley's daughter Amanda as she searches the wreck of a derelict space station for her missing mother. Unsurprisingly, she's not alone, as a Xenomorph stalks the corridors looking for blood.
The Flight expressed their excitement about finally bring the Alien: Isolation soundtrack to physical media lovers everywhere:
It’s not often that people are still talking about a ten-year-old video game, but interest in Alien: Isolation, rather like the Xenomorph itself, never quite seems to go away, […] We constantly get asked about making the soundtrack to this iconic title, and we’re excited that it is finally getting a proper release, so that the fans can at last listen and stream the tracks all these years later.”
Henson adds:

The Alien: Isolation OST's gorgeously goopy green and black packaging was designed by artist Nimit Malavia.
