Coinciding with the release of Macon Blair's The Toxic Avenger, Titan Books is releasing two books to celebrate the long-awaited reboot, and we're excited to bring you all the exclusive details today.
The Toxic Avenger: The Art and Making of the Movie by Empire Magazine contributing editor Dan Jolin, and The Toxic Avenger โ The Official Movie Novelization by Bram Stoker Award-winning author Adam Cesare (Clown in a Cornfield), licensed from Legendary Entertainment, make two perfect companion pieces to Blair's reimagining of the 1984 Troma cult classic, set to hit theaters on August 29.
The hardback The Toxic Avenger: The Art and Making of the Movie includes concept designs, character sketches, and insight from the writer-director, crew, producers, and cast, while The Toxic Avenger โ The Official Movie Novelization brings the action-packed, irreverent, gory, and outlandish saga of vengeance and twisted justice to life in paperback form with Cesare's signature flair.
Blair's contemporary reimagining stars Peter Dinklage, Jacob Tremblay, Taylour Paige, Julia Davis, Elijah Wood and Kevin Bacon, and follows downtrodden janitor Winston Gooze (Dinklage), who, after a freak accident, transforms into the mutant vigilante we know and love as Toxie.
The Toxic Avenger โ The Official Movie Novelization is set to publish on September 2, with The Toxic Avenger: The Art and Making of the Movie releasing on September 16. Head over to Titan Books' official site for upcoming info on how to pre-order both.
