Now that we finally have some details on the long-awaited final season of Netflix’s Stranger Things, Chips Ahoy is partnering with the horror series to fulfill our cravings until those final few episodes hit our screens. The cookie brand just announced an exclusive collab with Netflix that will see them introduce not only retro style packaging that throws snacktime back to the ‘80s, but also a special limited edition cookie flavor.
The special Upside Down-inspired treat features a chocolate base with fudge chips alongside a strawberry-flavored filling, the brand’s first-ever. The packaging for the cookie will also feature special design elements from the series, as well as a super-secret glow in the dark feature. But that’s not all — fans will also be able to scan a QR code on their pack to participate in a new immersive augmented reality game, which allows players to find cookies in different levels of the game. In-game achievements will enter players in a raffle to win exclusive prizes, including limited edition merch and an Eddie Munson-inspired guitar.
