interview with the vampire season 3

Lestat de Lioncourt is back, baby, and heโ€™s ready to rock. Entertainment Weekly just released new images from Season 3 of AMCโ€™s Interview With the Vampire, which takes the focus off Jacob Andersonโ€™s Louis and puts it firmly on Sam Reid as Lestat, whoโ€™s gone from hypnotized former lover to full-blown rockstar on a blood binge.

In both pictures, we get a good idea of Lestatโ€™s new status as a rock god โ€” including a shirtless shot that proves heโ€™s taking in all the attention he can get. Both seem to be drawing heavily from the glam rock era of the 1970s, with Lestat looking like Marc Bolan if heโ€™d gotten his hands on a bottle of bleach โ€” much different than the nu metal influences of Queen of the Damned, the last film to adapt this portion of Lestatโ€™s story.

Season 3 has only just begun filming, and adapts (appropriately) The Vampire Lestat, the second book in the late Anne Riceโ€™s Vampire Chronicles series. It picks up directly where Season 2 left off, finishing up the titular book and spinning the lens onto Lestat, who is, for a lack of a better word, pissed at how heโ€™s been portrayed by Louis in his tell-all book.

“It's deep, but it's actually very fun and silly because Lestat is a big clown, so he is not as chest-bearing as others,” Reid said to EW of the new season. “Well, he's actually quite chest-bearing. He's very chest-bearing, but in a different way! If he's unreliable, he's intentionally being unreliable as opposed to being potentially hoodwinked by a series of events. Lestat is slightly different [than Louis], I would say. They're both unreliable in their own way, but I don't think one is more or less than the other. One might be more intentional than the other.”

Interview With the Vampire Season 3 premieres on AMC sometime in 2026. Check out the new images below:
